Data and API access for institutions
The Canadian data behind Insider Express — politicians’ disclosures,
federal contracts and grants, lobbying meetings and political donations — delivered to your systems as a structured feed, entity-resolved and kept
current.
For funds, banks, research desks, newsrooms, compliance teams and universities
What you can license
| Dataset | Contents | Cadence |
| Politician disclosures | Federal and provincial members: holdings, assets, gifts and disclosed trades | Federal: hourly Provincial: periodic |
| Contracts and grants | Federal awards with amendments folded into their contract, recipients resolved to entities | Quarterly source, daily sync |
| Lobbying | Registrations and communication reports — who met whom, on which file | Daily |
| Political donations | Contributions aggregated by recipient, party and period (no individual donor details) | Monthly |
| Entity graph | The cross-links: a company’s contracts, lobbying and donations under one identifier | Daily |
How it is delivered
- REST API — JSON over HTTPS, key-authenticated, with cursor pagination
and
updated_since filters for incremental pulls.
- Bulk delivery — full historical snapshots and daily deltas as CSV,
JSONL or Parquet, to object storage or a signed URL.
- Entity resolution included — names normalised, tickers attached where
a party is publicly traded, and the same identifier used across every dataset, so a
company’s contracts, lobbying and donations join without your team writing the
matcher.
- No personal information for resale — licensed feeds exclude the personal
details of private individuals that appear in public records, such as individual donors.
- Provenance on every row — the filing or registry record behind it, so
anything you publish can be traced back to source.
Typical uses
- Signal research and backtesting on government-spending and lobbying activity
- Diligence and counterparty screening against public-sector exposure
- Newsroom investigation and monitoring
- Compliance and conflict-of-interest surveillance
- Academic research on procurement, lobbying and political finance
